It's alright but I wish it worked with my phones theme and font. Upgraded to a new phone and was forced to use this as my messages. But its blah... you can't customize it past their own theme colours, which is boring. The old default message that came with phones, when you changed the font and theme it changed in messages as well. Now it doesn't. Plus messages don't always send and sometimes duplicate messages send days after.

it works great but I have a phone specific issue. With a folding phone that has the extra large tablet style screen at full open this app has contacts on one side and the conversation on the other of the screen. I open the screen to see the conversation only with a wider perspective, not to see the list of conversations and the one I'm in at the same time. There's no option that I have found to minimize the conversation list. if that was added then I'd update to 5 stars.

This app is awful, I haven't been able to use it for almost 2 days after I deleted some old messages. I've tried clearing the cache and restarting my phone, just to get a "messages is doing work in the background" notification. I can't open the app at all, all I get is a black screen. I can't receive any text messages either (I tried sending from another phone). This is absolutely unacceptable, an app shouldn't become completely unusable just because it's deleting messages.
