Carrier Services provides services to support RCS (Rich Communication Services) messaging in Google’s Messages app. It collects diagnostic and crash data to ensure these services operate smoothly.

Ratings and reviews

This cause mobile network connection to become totally unreliable, and drains your battery in no time, due to constant reconnection attempts. Since I updated I've had to switch my phone to 3g from 4g in order to maintain connectivity. It's ok to say it's the networks fault, and not the apps but if 90% of the reviews on here all say the same thing it's safe to assume there's definitely a problem, and who's fault it is, is not my problem. I've had enough of 'not good enough'.

Can no longer send or receive sms. Tried reverting back to old version. Same problem. Not sure what you've done google, but this is a major issue if you can't send or receive texts. Texts are either going through but several hours later or just don't send. Receiving texts are the same. People are thinking I'm ignoring them and vice versa. Pretty basic thing to mess up google.

Has messed up my phone :( I had several weeks where I couldn't understand what was going on (phone calls would drop within 1 second, both incoming and outgoing, texts wouldn't send or receive). I uninstalled the most recent update, which seems to have helped a bit, but can't uninstall that actual app (which I would dearly love to do)
