AT&T Visual Voicemail allows you to review and manage your voicemail directly from your smartphone eliminating the need to dial into your mailbox.

Note: Receiving voicemail on this app does not count against your data rate plan allotment while on the AT&T network. A cellular data or Wi-Fi Calling connection is required; AT&T Visual Voicemail does not work on a Wi-Fi only connection. International data and messaging charges apply to receiving, replying to, and forwarding voicemail messages while roaming internationally. Data and messaging used in replying to and forwarding voicemail messages via SMS, MMS, or e-mail are counted against your data and/or messaging plan, and applicable charges apply if data and/or messaging plan limits are exceeded. Data charges may apply when downloading this application or using text transcription. This app may send a free one-time SMS to AT&T to retrieve mailbox information.

Ratings and reviews

Very poor execution. When you do get actually get a 'transcribed' voicemail which is occasionally at most, it is absoulte non-sense. This could be the worst voice recognition software still being passed off as technology. You also get random reoccurances of voicemails that has been deleted through the app. I expected so much more, I am very disappointed. Update: 5 years later and still trash.

It plays voicemails. Sometimes. I have to manually update to get it to display new voicemails. It takes 15-20 seconds to delete a message. If I have a less-than-perfect signal, it will lock up and never download that message even after I get a good signal. The transcripts are hilariously inaccurate. It doesn't lock the screen when playing voicemails, so it's easy for my cheek to stop playback. But it's still better than having to call voicemail and go through the audio menu.

I've had hours long delays in getting notified of a voicemail. Really AT&T!?! Is voicemail such cutting edge technology that you can't get this right??? Also the font is bigger than any of my others and I cannot move it to my tray at the bottom of the phone. Update made it worse. Tiny play and speaker symbols. Yeeeesh! Update: I don't understand this. Been over a year, several updates to this app. Still takes hours to receive a notification for a voicemail! Why is this so hard, AT&T?
