Ratings and reviews

With every update, the app becomes less user friendly and far less appealing. It now opens to a blank home screen instead of my active chats - pointless. I can no longer send video clips quickly - irritating. The overall appeal of chats has gone from my preferred method of messaging to me searching for a completely different app. Huge disappointment, much like Facebook and other large platforms.

Overall, a pretty good but basic app to use for communication. I haven't had any problems using the app just minor inconveniences. I wasn't able to talk with a friend for some reason until we both deleted the app and redownloaded it. You can't send files, videos, or photos that use up a lot of space. One thing I really do dislike is the inability to customize the chats. I have used other apps where I can change the text color, and even the background. Just use this app for standard texting.

Update: Happening again. Edit 2: Do not disturb wasn't turned on. But suddenly it's all working again. Hopefully they remain reliable. Edit: I checked every notification setting available on my phone, email, and app. All notifications are turned on, but none are coming through. I checked for updates and tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and restarting. Nothing has fixed it. Without notifications, it's become useless as a chat app. The app is fine, but the notifications randomly stopped working.
