Worked flawlessly first time getting a few devices and rooms setup. As soon as I wanted to add a couple more I am unable to edit anything or find / add new devices. Error connection message is now all I get. The app itself seems great if it worked as advertised! Would happily change to 5 stars if it became reliable.
What is going on Google home? I can't cast from my Android phone anymore since a day or so ago. Did the latest update mess something up? My Chromecast doesn't show up at all now for casting when I try to do it from my phone as usual! Everything was working just fine before! Why can't y'all leave stuff alone!? If it ain't broke then don't fix it! What do I do now? How can I cast stuff to my television? Can I do it from my lap top then? I've tried messing with it, but I can't figure out anything and I'm very frustrated! Had a very important show that I wanted to watch. 😞 Help please!
purchased insignia voice assistant but when I try to connect other insignia products via Google home, it insists that it cant and tells me to check the connection even though these are compatible products... my connection is just fine... it's the Google home app that doesn't seem to want to work. I can't update my settings, add new devices, or nickname my devices cause it keeps saying check connection.... not sure how to fix... hope they fix it soon though... would be a shame to return everything :( I thought Google cared more than this
What a nightmare. Wishing I hadn't bought into home/Chromecast. The devices take down my internet 3-4 times a week. Evidently a patch went out in January, but this is NOT fixed. Only way to stop them from playing when they disappear is unplugging them. Really disappointed; deserves 0 stars currently. Previous review: Add volume to notification. Since the last update, Chrome extension on laptop can't recognise the casting destination (a few feet away). Have to mirror my ph to tv then disconnect, sometimes a few times, then laptop recognises the casting destination again. Then sometimes i can't stop the cast. It's a pain. Clearing cache made no difference. Worked before, now it's glitchy & unreliable.
It's become unusable with Hue lights. I'm unable to add new lights or relink my account. I cannot modify/delete rooms or change the rooms devices are in as I get a "check your connection" error every time. This has been going on for months with no communication from Google.
