About this app

The new VA Video Connect application for Android expands VVC capability to Android users. VVC Android connects Veterans with their health care team from anywhere, using encryption to ensure a secure and private session. The app makes VA health care more convenient and reduces travel times for Veterans, especially those in very rural areas with limited access to VA health care facilities, and it allows quick and easy health care access from Android mobile devices.

Works pretty well. If you're using any Bluetooth devices like key boards or a mouse that go to sleep on you, it does cause a disconnect from your session. It does reconnect easily though. Audio issue: for some reason it wont stream through my hearing aids like my music and system sounds do. Most apps with audio stream without issue. So far this app and my voicemail app are the only ones that just don't work that way. Not a problem using the speaker phone audio though.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. When it works it is an OK way to remote in to a medical appointment using your Android device. For example, I am in Maryland, & the VA provider is in Georgia. When it doesn't work, you have just missed a medical appointment (something the VA seriously does NOT want you to do.) Very useful, but still needs work in the areas of connection reliability and ease of use. Note to VA developers: a version that works well on Chromebooks is VERY desirable.

I've tried this app on multiple different devices for several different appointments...I can hear my provider but they can never hear me. I've checked my settings on all the devices (cell phone app, tablet, computer) and it still never works. I'm a tech savvy person and have tried connected to different networks. Have had all telehealth appointments scheduled for in person from now on. The WORST APP EVER!!!
