Push notifications don't work on Android device. Chatted with Verizon for awhile and they confirmed it's nothing on their network. Quadruple-checked all notification settings on both the phone and in the app. Reached out to Gizmo via the FAQs area and haven't heard back, yet. I see this is an issue for other users, as well, so I don't think it's something unique. If they ever reach out and are able to resolve the issue, I'll update the review. If not, we'll be returning the watch.

It works well as a tracking device for my kids, so I appreciate that. Call quality is only ok, sometimes the phone speaker will have interference and my kids can't hear what it's being said. The one major flaw is that the app will NOT notify me of messages from my kids unless I have the app open. I have enabled all settings, I have checked and double checked. It can override DND, but nothing. So my kids send texts and I don't get them. It's a major flaw.

Hello Stephanie, calling is usually dependent on the LTE signal strength. Its possible call quality is being affected due to poor signal or on Occassion if the Gizmo speaker is damaged or faulty, it may cause sound issues. As for the notifications issue, this is not expected behavior, could you email us at gizmo@verizon.com so we can discuss? -DA

Unintuitive interface, frequently logs out without notification. The Android back button will exit the app instead of going to an overview of multiple Gizmos. The street map prioritizes business names over street names, making for a frustrating game of zooming in and out to figure out a child's location. The notifications don't sync properly to conversations. (You can have an extended text conversation and exit the app, and it will still pollute the notification bar about unread messages.)
