I updated my phone number. Even got an email that it was updated successfully. Now it won't send a verification code saying I updated my details recently. They also took away the ability to send verification codes by email. So how does one log in to their account? What a terrible system and bank.

Hi Rakesh! I'm sorry for this experience. To avoid this inconvenience, customers can also now receive their OTP code to a registered device via App Notification through the BMO Mobile App. Please give us a call at 1-877-225-5266 and we'll gladly guide you to set this up and to ensure your phone number is able to receive the code. Biometrics don't work. I tried it on Apple too, and the FaceID doesn't work there either; just says to forget login ID and re-enter everything (which doesn't fix it). Doesn't let you verify your card in your mobile wallet either.

Completely unusable on the newest Pixel Pro XL. The app is permanently stuck on the initial loading screen with the spinning BMO logo. It never loads and never lets me in. The only way to get in one time is by clearing cache and reinstalling. Have to repeat this every time to get in. In 2025, a banking app that doesn't work is the equivalent of a bank having no physical branches in the 90s. It makes you completely useless. I am literally moving all my accounts to another bank because of this.
