AT&T owns Uverse and Direct TV, yet the DTV app and website is better all around. There are more episodes available On Demand, more live channels and you can watch your DVR. Uverse needs to step it up. Only thing it has going for it is a larger channel lineup which means nothing if you can't watch them on the go.
This app was fine until last update. Constantly buffering and timeout now; what did you do? Also how long till you make changing channels as easy as swiping left or right in full screen mode. Also already signed in as a customer why do I need my location turned on to watch certain programs now. Thanks a lot for nothing; now I can't watch for most of my day.
Glad I had the app since my AT&T cable and internet are down because of the hurricane. It's been a lifesaver. I was able to see that my shows were recording, but unless they arehh OnDemand, I'm not able to watch them. I am able to watch live TV and add or delete recordings. I haven't tried to use my phone as the remote control and I probably won't as I don't see the need for it. All together it's a great app!
Funny. I can't connect to this app if I'm connected to my home Uverse internet. I have to get different wifi before the app will open. Also, scrolling through guide is ridiculous. It never stays in the time slot I want to look at, even scrolling very slow. It's way too jumpy.
Stopped working altogether now. Used to work although was glitchy. Also, ATT rep lied and said I could watch all of my channels on the app. On home network you can not, and when away from home even fewer channels available. Good old ATT, still up to their silly tricks. That's why they will NEVER have me as a Cell phone customer....
I've been using this app primarily to stream live tv for a solid week now. The thing buffers, and the video freezes, regularly. I even went so far as to rest my phone on the AT&T wifi box, and it still buffers. If I change channels too quickly, it seems to get stuck buffering. I have yet to watch a single show uninterrupted. Most frustrating is when the video just freezes altogether. The audio keeps playing-- just the video gets stuck. If I minimize the app for a moment and go back, the video buffers again and it usually fixes itself... until it happens again later.
