About this app

Google Authenticator adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts by adding a second step of verification when you sign in.
This means that in addition to your password, you'll also need to enter a code that is generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone.

The verification code can be generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone, even if you don't have a network or cellular connection.

* Sync your Authenticator codes to your Google Account and across your devices. This way, you can always access them even if you lose your phone.
* Set up your Authenticator accounts automatically with a QR code. This is quick and easy, and it helps to ensure that your codes are set up correctly.
* Support for multiple accounts. You can use the Authenticator app to manage multiple accounts, so you don't have to switch between apps every time you need to sign in.
* Support for time-based and counter-based code generation. You can choose the type of code generation that best suits your needs.
* Transfer accounts between devices with a QR code. This is a convenient way to move your accounts to a new device.
* To use Google Authenticator with Google, you need to enable 2-Step Verification on your Google Account. To get started visit http://www.google.com/2step

At some point, the display changed and now it tries to be clever and include the service name. Unfortunately, this takes up half the screen and means I can't distinguish between my several Amazon Web Services accounts without editing each one to find the full name. There doesn't seem to be a way to turn this off, or to change the font size, nor to switch to a landscape view. It's really annoying and needs to be fixed.

This used to work until the update. When returning to the app, it would automatically refresh the interface and display the current code. Now, it does not refresh. Instead, it displays a stale code. The solutions are to wait until the next interval or kill the app and restart it. Sending feedback has not produced a fix. How does something like this make it into production?

Suddenly tried to split my codes into multiple accounts, which is helpful in theory but in practice it doesn't correctly let me select which codes to transfer or easily allow them to be removed that I can see, once you skip the initial prompt to delete them after transfer (I'm not going to confirm deletion of all my codes without seeing that they are all safe and sound in the new account). Now I just have a bunch of duplicate codes in multiple accounts with no way to fix that I can see.
