This app is just ok for now. It has room for improvement. I don't mind having a separate app for connecting to my kids. This might be the actual hardware, but there are a lot of times the location just tells me it cannot find device. I like the school time block, but there are other times where I would like it to be in this mode, so some customization on that would be good. Last think I will address here is calls use notification sound and you can only pick notification sounds, not call sounds.

The app is exceptional at tracking my child. It keeps them active by wanting to get their steps in to level up or complete quests. The app is simple to use. The major draw back is not being able to message friends that also have the Fitbit Ace. They can email each other from other devices that parents permit, so why can't they message each other from their watch? 5 stars if we get this feature in a future update.

Apart from the price (it's a bit expensive), the Fitbit Ace LTE might be the perfect kid's watch. It encourages movement and excercise through games. It's always online, so you can always know where your kid is and communicate with them. It has safety built in, so you control who your kid can talk to via voice and text. There's a school mode to keep them from getting distracted while they're at school, but still allowing location tracking and emergency communications.
