Ratings and reviews

Google maps worked fine until the changes to timeline. Now I'm missing a bunch of my timeline history, and I can't find any useful way to fix my timeline, so it actually works and saves to my history. Also, each update changes settings I've disabled like turning on DND. This used to be at least a 3 or 4 star app. Now it's not saving history, changes settings, and is a royal pain.

Sometimes voice directions cut off mid word...lately I haven't been told which way to go when a highway forks off when it previously has stated which lane to be in. Most unfortunate...all of my timeline data before March 7th has now been deleted when an update occurred. I had everything set to backup...to not delete. Can't get it back. I am very disappointed in the downhill quality as of late.

Google maps is dangerous and unsafe to use because it continues to navigate me into roads that are closed. There's no way to report that a road is closed in the app. So when I drive around the closed road, maps navigates me right back into the closure with a u-turn or going around the block right back into the closure. When roads are open in real life, they are listed as being closed in the app. Long circuitous detours to avoid open roads with no closures. Truly the worst app for navigation.
