Ratings and reviews

as long as I don't use any features beyond sending and receiving messages I (for the most part) experience only some crashing. beyond that this has become another Google app that went from a daily user for a decade to something I can't depend on. I just wrote this review after updating (again) and clearing the cache. before I was seeing a large space where a photo should be, but now I am seeing a black box on half of them and all images are now being saved as black boxes.

I miss Samsung Messages. As others have said, I don't like how you attach pictures. In Samsung Messages, attaching a picture from the gallery & taking a new picture to send inside the Messages app were separate options, & I think it's much better that way. There are other bugs. Sometimes, I'll hit send, & the text will then show above in the thread but will also not be deleted from the outbox. Mostly, I HATE that I can't customize to match the rest of my phone. Let me make it cute, Google!

I dunno what this most recent update did or didn't do, but my messages won't open and when it does it's just a. solid blank screen and even when I can see my messages, if I click on them, they're blank. I can't read them and I can't send new ones cause it keeps trying to bring me back to the old ones that it won't open. I've cleared the system cache, restarted my phone multiple times and even installed the newest update, that I didn't even know existed.. nothing.
