Ratings and reviews

I used to like this app a lot more. Previously, I was able to have Japanese downloaded and use the camera feature offline which worked great for reading/traveling. Now, this isn't working and it tells me the language pack needs downloaded for offline use. I have tried uninstalling/ reinstalling both the language pack and the app itself. Clearing the cache also doesn't work. Until this is fixed I'm looking for alternatives even though this gave better translations than other options I've tried.

I just installed it as the latest Microsoft translator removed support for offline mode. Well, Google Translate does support offline mode with language pack download, but voice recognition on only when the phone is connected. When traveling outside of one's own country, online connection can be inconsistent, but it is when voice translation is actually the most needed. Based on voice recognition performance, it doesn't look like it is done on the cloud (or does it?).

Beta functionality like "practice" is a good direction! For many years, I thought about this. But I am really confused why practicing the English language is not available. I think even native English speakers can practice English. I would love to have a way to practice my saved English words (not useless or stupid words that many English-learning-apps force you to learn — but my own!). I hope you got the idea.
