Still Disappointing - now with useless feeds which I can't disable. I used to be able to hold Home and manually select text on any page, which would then get passed to search. This was recently replaced with "[What's on my screen?]", which attempts to parse the page automatically. This never guesses what I'm after and most of the time just says it can't find anything at all.
First tab no longer lets you swipe right to dismiss an item from your feed and instead requires a complicated two-step "tap and select" procedure. The other tabs still work as expected. I'll raise my rating when this bug is fixed.
Pissing me off atm id say "okay Google" and it would vibrate my phone like normal. Than it would immediately vibrate 2 more times bring up the last task I assined to it and launch it almost Immedietly after I open the damn thing. Fix this please I love this service Device is the Samsung galaxy S8
With the newest version I can't send text messages. I'll say okay Google and text so and so but then it tells me that it cannot connect to Google and it will try again when there's a connection. I love using the Google assistant but with this problem I can't stand using it. Update 10-21-17: I'm still unable to text using Google assistant with the newer update. This is getting ridiculous. The text function is extremely important for me and it's completely unusable and honestly trash right now.
Please add the Tap to select feature in Google assistant too. 'What's on my screen ' feature is not helpful if you want to select a specific word or sentence in any app. Google Assistant is very good but add that feature too, it would be awesome then.. untill then I have to uninstall the update.
Recent update has forced a turned-on 'Feed' which appears to be nothing more than a compendium of useless information. I neither use nor want this bloat. If we can't disable it going forward, I will be disabling Google.
