I have used this app for years and it has worked perfectly! Since your last update on August 31st I am now unable to open the Google Assistant when my phone screen is locked even though everything is turned on properly! The only way for me to fix this is to erase all data off of the app and then it works fine. However, if I turn the phone off and then back on again I have to go through the same process of deleting all data again! They're now seems to be a glitch in your app! Most frustrating!

I don't see my recent searches under the search bar, all I see are "trending searches" and all the topics/sources its recommending me are not in my interest. I can't adjust it where I'm not interested as my only option is to just "hide". It's quite annoying not being able to see my recent searches under the search bar as this is also affecting me on YouTube. I've tried everything to fix it, doesn't work, my web & app activity is not paused. I have other accounts and they don't have this issue.

The most recent app update has broken voice search. Google Assistant attempts to answer, but my search screen disappears and the Assistant screen never appears. EDIT: I appreciate the developers reply, however, after reviewing the URL, I can confirm that I had already attempted all of those troubleshooting steps before making this post. I honestly believe that it's part of the "rush to AI" that's caused this issue.

What's new
