Old version was really good. Now in this new version, it is not possible to book a cab for someone else. The old version had a very user friendly feature, that the app displays the list of contacts to choose from, when the pickup location is different from the current location. But this good feature is missing from the new version. I don't know why the developers removed this useful feature. This is very bad.
This app has become worst now.. There is no customer support.. You can't speak with the customer care person by any means.. All you can do is just request. You never know when the customer care person will respond to your request. In this month I had taken 4 rides and in all the four trips, I was overcharged. When I give a request for the refund of extra amount charged, I get no response. I must really appreciate Ola cabs with regards to their customer response.
Taking rating down as customers also getting rated and it is annoying.. drivers are getting changed dynamically and always late arrival or driver will cancel. Complete waste of time.. Even if map shows the cars around during booking it books the driver who is miles away. GPS location of a driver also not good .. Location Freezes may times... also the latest update app has slow performance .. Same time OLA works better ...
Registered and took two rides and paid by cash without a hitch. Now when I try to log in, the app says there is a problem with my account and cannot log on. I sent my email link to resolve the issue, but no response. Uninstalled and reinstalled using a new SIM & number, new email but still the same result! This is a really bad app. Wonder what's all the hype about???
One attempt and never again. I scheduled a time of 1240- 1255 with a fare of $23. The driver called at 1242 and I said I'll be there in 5mins, before 1250. Driver canceled and I looked at a new fare of $56 for the same trip. So what's the point of the pick up window frame? I bet drivers knowingly canceled to force users into paying bigger fares. Never again, never recommending.
Uber failed to work with the issues of its drivers cancelling even when the faults are the drivers'. Too long ETA, wrong and frustrating handles of cancellation fees, non-commited drivers, and drivers not well versed in handling tight situation particularly talking to the local police officers and convincing them when the passengers are attendants of major public events. Worst, they straight away avoided police as if they had drugs inside the car like what the hell?! Select your drivers more carefully! And train them if necessary, such as to handle tight situations! Goodness gracious some of the drivers are lousy!
