About this app

Use TK-Safe or synchronize e-prescriptions with the e-prescription app. With TK-Ident and your TK Health ID, you can now log in to digital health applications even without your health insurance card – conveniently via smartphone, anytime, anywhere.

SECURITY

The TK-Ident app allows you to access sensitive health data, such as your electronic patient record in TK-Safe. This data requires a particularly high level of protection and therefore has high security requirements. Secure identification is required to use the app. Simply use the online ID function of your national identity card or your health insurance card with PIN. We also ask that you repeat this identification process at regular intervals.


Our security concept for TK-Ident is based on strict legal requirements. To offer you a positive and secure customer experience, we are constantly developing our concept.

Ratings and reviews

App itself is well designed and easy to use. It took a while to get it to work on my older phone given how restrictive device integrity checks have gotten, but it worked out in the end. The regulatory situation of health apps is a bit of a mess (and imo a way to legally enforce tech waste, but ymmv), but I don't think it's reasonable to blame the TK dev team for this.

The app is still as clunky as when I started using it a year or two back but the app now also works on grapheneOS after you disable secure app spawning for the app and various other security features. from a user perspective, the app is quite sluggish and the whole app flow from the main TK app to Tk ident and back needs serious optimization work to make it faster. I sometimes even suspect if there are building sleep statements hidden in the code by how slow it runs even on a modern flagship.

After registration, I only get "An error has occurred. Please try again later." Clearing the cache/storage and force-stopping didn't help. Update: One hour later, it started working.
