Open any Google News app story in your browser, in my case Firefox, and you will see approximately 90% less ads. I couldn't believe it so I tried it with about 15 different news stories on different sites. Google is superimposing a breathtaking number of ads over other websites news stories . Talk about parasitic, and not giving a rip about the end user. Uninstalling to go find literally any other news app out there.

Just no. Apparently there's been an update, and said update has done away with very reason I like "Google News" in the first place. The text on one side and a tiny picture has been replaced by a monstrous photo more than four times the size of the old one which takes up the entire screen and makes it almost impossible to focus on the text title below. Also, the "For You" is just generic sports and politics, no local news, no articles on my favorite topics. Completely worthless now.

Has almost the same functionality as the "Google" app, but the inability to change the same settings such as, open links in browser, is a UX deal breaker for me. Why are these things so wildly inconsistent when they are nearly identical. You guys really need to straighten the ecosystem out, such as Google wallet, Google pay, etc. It's an inconsistent mess. It used to be so easy to show people why Android is better than iOS. It just gets harder every year.
