Android System Intelligence is a system component which powers intelligent features across Android, whilst keeping your data private:

• Live Caption, which automatically captions media playing on your Pixel.
• Screen Attention, which prevents the screen from turning off if you are looking at it, without having to touch it.
• Improved Copy and Paste that makes it easier to move text from one app to another.
• App Predictions in the launcher, which suggest the app you may need next.
• Smart Actions in Notifications, which adds action buttons to notifications which let you see directions to a place, track a package, add a contact and more.
• Smart Text Selection across the system, which makes it easier to select and act on text; for instance, you can long-click on an address to select it and tap to see directions to it.
• Linkifying of text in apps.

Android System Intelligence uses system permissions to provide smart predictions. For instance, it has permission to see your contacts so that it can show you suggestions to call a frequent contact. I've been trying to figure out why my music volume keeps getting turned down automatically with our me doing it. It's this app. I also dug in to when it accessed and what. It was accessing my mic, my camera at 4am when I'm sleeping, texts and a whole bunch of other stuff at times when I'm sleeping. I'm NOT comfortable with some of these like controlling my volumes, accessing my camera & mic when I'm sleeping. NOPE! Click all permissions. You'll be highly surprised! I disabled it!

This app has permissions that allow it to basically control your phone without your permission. You are unable to even remove it. The other problem is it keeps certain programs running and you never know it. If you try to uninstall it is force downloaded again which I'm fairly sure is a breach of privacy as it isn't a core system required app if you don't use the ai etc even then you should be able to control or stop what you don't like it doing.

I recently discovered this on my phone and if you look at all the additional settings in the app you will see dozens of web addresses that you've never seen. I certainly never installed this and it just popped up one day on my list of apps. Be very very careful as I had a virus that literally took over my phone. So I got another phone and it did for that one. You must these days learn about permissions, opening links without your permission, downloads, extensions, and every single app!
