Please revert the change to the reply bar or make it optional. Otherwise this is an okay app, which does its job. But for someone using Gmail only for read-only mails, this is a major annoyance. It takes up a significant amount of space on the screen of my (rather old and small) phone with no apparent benefit. It's been fine to click on reply to reply to an email. this is not a chat app, people

The app was always a bit underwhelming, but now it doesn't do it's job anymore. It doesn't pick up my emails from googlemail (strangely it still works with my mail account from Microsoft). It is simply stuck in an endless loop of "Getting your messages...". It is quite embarrassing that two products from the same company stopped working together.

The poorest email app out there. If it wasn't for the fact I can have all my emails in one place, even though a few are from non-Google providers, I wouldn't use this. Timed it the other day & it takes almost 5 minutes for it to load the side menu with my other profiles, which is unacceptable, & it takes almost 2 just to highlight an email so I can delete it. It's fully updated, and my phone has the highest ram available in a phone, so nothing should be running as slowly as it does. Unimpressed.
