So many years since it was launched, and it is still as buggy as an early prototype. 80% of the times it doesn't understand what you say, or it doesn't execute the command, or it throws some error, or it "understands" you in a different language than the one configured in assistant settings. The result is pure frustration so you end up not using it at all. Furthermore there is no support whatsoever for this expensive product; you are cynically invited to "submit feedback" that no one ever reads.

I am a heavy user of Google Assistant. My job involves lots of driving and I can not always grab my phone, so this is a very handy app for me. I make many calls using the assistant. However, the last week and have not been able to make calls. The app can perform any other task, but make phone calls. It keeps saying: Sorry, I can't make phone calls yet. I have tried everything I found on the internet: install and reinstall the app. Remove permissions and then back on. Disable and enable the app.

Just downgraded this to 3 stars because now when I open it, the microphone is off. Whereas I used to be able to open it and say what I wanted. Now I have to do the extra step of pressing the microphone icon. (and it has nothing to do with training my voice model as suggested by the developers. It's simply that the mic is no longer on by default when opened)
