I rely on navigation apps to travel the UK and this used to be brilliant, but recently it has become a liability. If I come across an issue, such as a new road closure, and want to go around the app fails to reroute. If I zoom out to find an alternative, the options to recentre or go back won't work. I end up having to stop the car, force close the app (or my phone) and then start again. This is not just an issue on my phone either - please fix it.

Don't know how it's possible, but UI is only getting worse and worse over time. First it was minor things like route covering street/road names (which, mind you, do not scale up when you zoom), now it is nearly impossible to select anything with a touch, works like 1 out of 10 attempts. Does Google even have a UX team, or they believe they are too cool for such mundane things? And the most annoying thing is how many times one need to press back button to get out of the last search.

Finally had enough. categories at the top can't be edited or removed. trying to get the map to look at. a notification on the route before setting off kept changing the route or looking at the town near it. just lost all use really. all I and many other want is to open the app. click home or work/ place visited often and get shown the quickest way home.
