Ratings and reviews

App used to have a keyboard for command entry. It no longer does. I'm hearing impaired, so voice commands are problematic. I really would appreciate having the ability to type commands again. Also, because only voice commands, and my hearing issues, it rarely understands what I'm saying. *a year later and this is still an issue. seriously, a keyboard option for us with hearing issues. come on. 7-25-25

Never sign up for any of Google's premium subscriptions. The moment you cancel, you will not stop get pop-ups every time you open any of their apps to remind you that you canceled your subscription. Want to adjust the $300 thermostat you already bought real quick? well too bad you're getting a pop-up. Want to check if an important package got delivered on your $100 doorbell? Well too bad you're getting a pop-up. The subscriptions are also way too expensive and have barely anything useful.

It's an easy app to use for controlling all my Google devices, as well as third-party devices that work with Google. It's gotten better over the years longer than most of Google's apps. The smoke alarm alert is a new feature. It worked as promised when it was used two separate times, in my apartment building. Not only do I have smoke alarms in my apartment but the building has its own alarm system when everyone is to evacuate. I love the fact that I was alerted on my phone as I wasn't home. 👍😁
