Ratings and reviews

All of the apps good points are overshadowed by the inability to mute topics. I spend my days training the app to show me less articles about football; I still seem to get incremental amounts of it in the feed. C'mon. Edit: a year later, I see less football but I've seen others with this issue still. My current issue is with the forced refresh that returns me to the top of the list... I can't get to the bottom without this happening, heck, not even half way. What the hell. Google, you've been found lacking.

Newsstand is a better way of managing Google Currents and Magazines etc. However, it's nowhere near the finished article. It allows you to add RSS feeds but it really doesn't make use of them at all. You can only view then if you dig them out and you can then only see each feed's content individually. Sort out the RSS integration and tweak the functionality so that you don't have to keep clicking 'back' all of the time.

App has a lot of potential. Once you get it to listen to the sources you want, its great. Only problem is, you can't do much to customise it - the whole thing feels very basic when it could be so much more with little effort. Options to follow only specific sections of a source, to always open articles externally, or more easily browse followed sources would make a big difference.
