Google Authenticator adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts by adding a second step of verification when you sign in. This means that in addition to your password, you'll also need to enter a code that is generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone. The verification code can be generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone, even if you don't have a network or cellular connection.

* Set up your Authenticator accounts automatically with a QR code. This is quick and easy, and it helps to ensure that your codes are set up correctly.

The app is really easy use and has simple UI but there's no way to secure the app, there's no lock for the app. People who have access to the device could easily see all the accounts listed in the app (like friends who wants to borrow my phone and they opened the Authentication app, they could see all my linked accounts). Are you guys really taking security seriously? Even though my phone is secure enough but, still... a lock in the app could add better protection.

Once your devices are completely dead –unintentionally, you won't be able to login your accounts in your new devices. What I've learned is, it doesn't have any backup data for your authenticator codes; the data sticks with the device, not the Google account. So if you haven't export your Authenticator backup data to another device yet, your linked accounts will be locked until an unspecified time.... This is so frustating for me. I won't use this app until the dev. fix this issue. Thanks & GBu!

App no longer appears in my app drawer or on my home screen, and when I search my device it doesn't appear. However, when I search the play store it says it's installed and gives me the option to open the app. I'll be really upset if something happens and I have to go through some pita process to recover a bunch of accounts that use two-factor with Google authenticator.
