Buy your bus pass in the MyDART app and start using it on your schedule. DART offers one-way, day, 7-day and 31-day passes for use on all services. When ready to board the bus, activate the mobile ticket you want to use and show your phone to the bus operator to pay fare. If you are a Paratransit or Half Fare customer, contact Customer Service at 515-283-8100 to add those tickets to your MyDART account.

I have been trying to sign into the app for several hours. I even created a different account with no luck. When I try signing in with Google or Apple accounts it says I that email is already being used and sign in with it. When I sign in with email, it says there is an error. Fortunately, I only use it during the State Fair, because it's worthless.

The main station in Des Moines is very clean and nice. The buses are well maintained and safe to ride, the drivers vary from fast as heck to friendly, funny, helpful and rarely jerks. They make special stops for regular customers and I have heard drivers talking to riders who they really seemed to have developed some type of relationship with. We're a fairly small city with home town drivers which is super cool and refreshing.

Seriously one of the best apps for any transit I have witnessed. Compared to Connecticut (SEAT bus) and everywhere else, this is how buses should be. You can look up your trip from your current location, it will GPS you to the proper bus stop, you can even watch the buses drive around on the app. You can buy tickets via your phone and even pay with your app. Hands down a must have if you're car less in the Des Moines area.
