Bolt features that require the app to stay running in the foreground:
• SOS button. In case of an incident, the user can easily provide their live location to a safety provider to get help faster.
• Trip audio recording. Users have the ability to record the trip audio if they feel unsafe or are facing a complicated situation. This audio can be used as evidence for investigations by the authorities.
• VoIP calls. Users can utilise in-app calls for communication to help locate each other or if a passenger forgets something in the car, for example.

It was a great app until: 1.I had a driver refuse to pick us up. He never came. To the location. Just kept driving out the way and the translation in the chat did not make sense. 2.I had a driver ask for a different price, which we agreed, then decided to change the vehicle with a different license plate. 3. At the end of the ride the price randomly increased. It was the same during the entire trip, when I opened the app at the end of the trip it was the same then suddenly changed.

The app is great when it works, however, after waiting for a ride for 10 to 15 minutes, the driver can cancel for no reason, and you are stuck waiting for another driver which can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 45 minutes for them to show up. On top of that it charges you for booking a ride, and yet 100% of the remaining payment doesn't go to the driver. The pricing is also confusing, because drivers will call you to renegotiate cost due to difficulty of the path driven, or cancel your booking

I was traveling with two other women and we had a very pleasant experience with Bolt. We got lost in Budapest and requested a ride-- 3 minutes later our driver arrived and immediately jumped out to help us with our luggage. The ride was extremely fast, smooth and professional. I'm not sure where all these negative experiences are from because I will definitely be utilizing Bolt again.
