Ratings and reviews

The number of ads they insert into a news story is truly overwhelming. Each year, it seems to get worse. If you don’t believe me, just open the same story in your native browser—you’ll immediately notice a huge difference. I understand that ads are necessary, but when they’re made so excessively intrusive, they detract from the content and make the app feel cheap, frustrating, and unpleasant to use. I’d recommend that anyone looking for a reliable news app look elsewhere.

More and more "teasers" that take you to paywalls. It shouldn't look like an "article" if I can't read it. It should be shown as an ad for the New York Times or whoever. "subscriber only content" or "advertisement for a subscription". This is a news app and we all understand ads in apps. better: "Google recommends these paid subscription services for additional news not available in the free app." interspersed as obvious ads

used to be a good app. now not so much. too many items hidden behind pay walls. need a way to suppress those. I don't want large pictures in the feed index. this recently changed. I want to read the news not look at pictures. I'm not sure if there is another app that does this but I'm looking. 8/23 now borders on useless. no mini cards at all. I want news not pictures
