I have used TurboTax for 6 years. Never had an issue, but now they no longer offer free service to military members and I was stuck in an infinite loop unable to digitally send my State Taxes despite nothing being wrong with the form that it demanded I correct. I have never had these issues, and moving forward, I will not be recommending TurboTax nor using it myself anymore. I don't know what happened but this was enough to make me done with TurboTax.

This is the age of hidden fees and the bait and switch. I was given three options, let them do it, guided help, or do it myself. I chose the do it myself free version or so I thought. At no point can I switch my selection, $79 later and then they have the audacity to charge $44 to use it from the return. On the app there's a smallll section on the diy page for the free version. You can scroll right past it and not notice. They guide you into the paid version, making you hunt for the real one.

I've used Turbo Tax since 2016, never had a problem. This year, it never once gave the option to remove the premium bundle. The steps in Help weren't available. I started out opted into the $130 package and then you want another $40 to deduct the fee from my return so it's a total of $170 for a basic 1099A return. Moving to H&R Block, I'm not filing with Turbo Tax anymore.
