For some reason developers think unlock phone means "please zoom out to the state level" when you're 99% of the way to the destination and now walking there expecting to see a street level map. There's no reason for this decision, zooming out when you're over 90% of the way there helps no one, but this annoyance remains. Manually zooming in each time after unlock is an enormous pain when that code doesn't need to exist to begin with.

Maps no longer speaks directions. What happened? checked everything with second tier tech support. Settings seem set correctly. Used to work perfectly. How can this get fixed? I used to rely on it. Using galaxy s10. Tried everything in the response to no effect and download directions not very good directions, never found a way to try.

I do not like what the last update brought to Google Maps! April, 2024. When I have two points in there and I want to add additional additional stops to my route, it does NOT calculate the total miles of the whole route with all the stops like it used to! It only calculates the total time for travel with 3 or more stops in my route. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and this new problem still exists. Please fix it this problem! Last update May 01, 2024, still did NOT fix this problem!
