The app stopped using my phone number to make video calls. It somehow switched to my email for calls after years of calling with my phone number. Cannot figure out how to switch it back. Call quality is bad and the sound is even worse. I'm sure it's user error but there needs to be a simple and very accessible way to select how you want to make the call.

Hi there. With the upgrade of Duo to Meet, we've added Duo calling features to the Meet app. For more information, please check out this article: goo.gle/3ihCbp4. Also, we ask that you submit feedback to Meet > Settings Menu (top left) > Send feedback.

Excellent call and video quality. Strange interface! Edit: the call quality is still great. But the interface has gone from bad to worse. I had duo until today, but out of the blue, all my call history and messages disappeared. I updated to google meet and still the same. Now it also thinks that my frequent contacts don't have a meet account and i cannot call them. I can only send them an invitation. There is no place in the app to submit issues only feedback.

So I've really only used Meet like MAYBE 4 times, but I've never had any issues. Picture/video is clear as well as the audio. Of course this all depends on signal strength just like anything else in this "techy" field, but I have no complaints with the few times that I have used Meet. **EDIT** Just for clarification purposes, I'm on a Google Pixel 7 PRO. Results could and most likely will vary (as in not be too good) on older model phones.
