On more than one occasion, no matter where I tried to play a movie I had just bought / rented from this Google TV app, the listed media features were just wrong. 720 resolution for a movie listed as 4k, lack of HDR when HDR is listed, incorrect audio formats. I tried through this app, and through YouTube, I tried on our Sony smart TV, and Xbox Series X console, and chromecast from my 23Ultra phone, or tablet, or even iPad. Useful built-in remote, but it sometimes turns on the TV when opening app

One of the worst apps I've used in the App Store. My first complaint is that it shows seven different TVs to connect to that aren't even close to my apartment. The other issue is that it simply doesn't work. There's an annoying pop-up that shows up every single time I press a button, saying "Play something from your library to go playback". There are times where the app just doesn't work. It is as simple as that. The buttons don't do anything. I don't know how this has so many downloads.

This is terrible. Google movies were better when it was part of the play store. Separating out into an awkward and unintuitive platform is awful. I was looking for a digital set of movies and now you can only buy them individually. Amazon has the set so guess that's my route... edit: I came back to try Google tv again and it's so bad. unfortunately I've already given it 1 star rating and can't again.
