The Chatbot is limiting but fine, and it's easy to get access to an agent. The app interface uses way too much space and offers little information. Most options don't actually have a function in the app but rather are just glorified hyperlink shortcuts. Things are still missing from the many older xfinity apps that it's supposed to replace. Overall, it's a good concept, but poor execution. In short… it's a glorified store kiosk.

Xfinity pushed customers to the app to manage their router.... A phone is not the easiest way to do so. Now, some functions are on the router web page and others are on the app. The app is so poor that it takes forever to manage my network. I cannot search for connected devices. I cannot see their IP address on the summary. I cannot sort the list. I have been a Comcast / Xfinity customer for decades. I think I will switch to Verizon because everything just takes too long now.

Port Forwarding doesn't work. They removed the option from your web browser/gateway and you are forced to set it up in the app which displays "something unexpected happened". Has been broken for over a year. Workaround, open xfinity app. On top right, click on chat icon. It opens chat AI assist. In chat window, type port forward. The AI will respond a number of prompts, select network. Then select open advanced options. Finally, you can select port forwarding.
