I have had my vehicle for almost 5 years now, and plugging my phone into it to have Maps, music and podcasts running from my phone to the vehicle's media system. Up until this latest Google update, I have been able to hit the Talk button on the steering wheel and say, "Text [contact name]", and be able to dictate a text to them, and send it. Now when I try, I get the response, "For that, you'll need to download the latest version of the Google app" What the actual?

Used to be great and useful. Now, it just crashes even when not using it, getting notifications that the Google app has crashed. It was very annoying and had to disable it. Hope they fix it sometime soon. App fixed itself after a few days. Maybe it was my phone, maybe the app. It is super convenient as a widget to search whatever info you need quickly.

As of today, the app itself will not open. Each time I open the app, it shuts down and gives me an error message that the app keeps crashing. Then the search bar removed its self from my phone. Un-installed, reinstalled. Nothing, same issues. Restarted my phone, verifies it's all up to date. And I still can't search the web. Plus, my phone has lots of memory too.
