Horrible UI, complete lack of configuration options, apathetic developers. "Settings" give the illusion of choice (Do you want it to auto start? Your options are "always" and "if used on the last drive." So...always or always). Try to full screen any app other than GPS, it stays in split screen but just makes the map slightly smaller. Turn off GPS or BT, and it reactivates. And the clock is microscopic text in one corner, with no way to change it. And on pixel, it's hidden like a system app.

For the most part I am satisfied with Android Auto. I just wish my music would stay on Pandora. For some reason, every so often I will get in my car & it will be switched to Amazon & lately since I got a new phone: YouTube music. I had to delete the YT music app from my phone for it to stop. I prefer to choose my own music app. I do not need any help with that. Please & thank you!

Pixel 9 pro XL and a 2022 Honda Ridgeline: the wired experience was just okay. if I even breathed on the cable it would de sync and cause a 10 second interruption and 5 minutes of a bad mood. Since adding a wireless adapter to the vehicle, it has been 100% stable, highly recommend getting a wireless adapter. As a side benefit, since switching from plain Bluetooth to wireless android auto, YouTube has finally stopped auto playing the last video I watched when I start the truck!
