#1 Was working great, until I got a new phone and suddenly the GPS lags when I'm driving. It'll work fine for a bit, then lose GPS signal and stop moving, then catch up again when it finds the GPS signal again. Very annoying, you can easily miss a turn off a highway. #2 The response to this review didn't help, and there's no way to directly contact google maps for support. #3 Several updates later, and the issue still isn't fixed. The issue isn't with my phone, because waze works

Used to be the only maps app I'd ever use, now every 5 minutes consists of: 30 seconds connected to GPS, 2 minutes searching for GPS, 2 minutes "gps signal lost" and 30 seconds of me trying to figure out where the heck I'm supposed to be going in the city suburbs I'm not used to while not touching or being distracted by my phone while driving. It sucks. Have now installed a new app to replace google after multiple attempts of clearing cache, data, uninstalling updates and restarting device.

I'd rate 0 stars because no matter what I do, for some reason my maps keeps losing its gps signal regardless of whether I have data on or off. As a result my navigation is never accurate, it freezes and then I get lost in busy areas which is unsafe. I've tried all the tips and tricks recommended by people in order to resolve the issue but to no avail. This is clearly an app issue as Waze app works fine.
