Amazing in car experience. Voice assistance and being able to safely use Google Maps, with all the benefits, is great! I had this originally as a 5 star but .... I've had to turn auto update to off as the update always failed and connection to the car failed! You had to uninstall and then install to fix. With autoupdate turned to off, Android Auto continues to work. You just jave to remember to search for the APP on the Play store and click Update if the option is presented!

One of the more recent updates had, on one of my phone's, resulted in the connection, for one of my mobiles, becoming pretty well seamless. I regret that is no longer the case. It is great when it works, however it disconnects quite often. It sometimes takes a number of attempts to get it to load. The inconsistency is quite infuriating at times. VERY GLAD TO REPORT THAT IT IS WORKING WELL AGAIN.

App makes driving dangerous. tried wired and wireless. wired constantly disconnects. When I get a call and answer it's not auto switching to the head unit. I have a pioneer head unit, not some cheapo, but it acts like a cheapo. Super buggy and pulls way too much attention off the road fixing. Have to delete app data every 2 days for phone calls to work.
