App used to have a keyboard for command entry. It no longer does. I'm hearing impaired, so voice commands are problematic. I really would appreciate having the ability to type commands again. Also, because only voice commands, and my hearing issues, it rarely understands what I'm saying. *a year later and this is still an issue. seriously, a keyboard option for us with hearing issues. come on. 7-25-25

I can never connect a device in one go. There's always an issue in some connection step. Any troubleshooting is a pain to go through and not easy to follow. I dread everytime I have to open the app to connect a new device. You should also be able to ignore devices found if they aren't yours. I shouldn't have to skip over the device a neighbor has over and over to just try to find the one I'm trying to set up.

sloppy. buggy. not intuitive. it's amazing that a company like Google can release an app like this to the general audience, with bugs, inconsistencies and a lack of features. if I wasn't fully invested in Nest products (which I'm going to sweat until I feel like swapping everything for Amazon) I would box everything up and ship it back to Google. mediocre at best. do better.
