Ever since they changed to the new style of meet calls, I can't make outgoing calls, but incoming calls work fine. I can clear app data and cache and get the old one back for one call and that still works. Whatever they did to meet, it's not working for me. A video calling app that doesn't make calls is pretty useless. Edit: the supplied help article isn't relevant to my issue, and I've been trying to get help from the help and feedback forum, they've tried to help but not working yet.

It works fine, but can't change the ringtone and can't accept/decline calls from the small screen on my Samsung ZFlip 5. The former is just annoying, and there is no option in Settings>Notifications for changing it on my phone. Instead, that routing goes to my phone's (not the app's) settings page to control how notifications appear on my phone. The latter is a problem because I have to open the phone from its flipped state to decline a call, which is annoying and dangerous if I'm driving.

Hi Jonathan. You can change the custom ringtone on Google Meet by tapping on the 3 dots > Settings > Notifications > Receive 1:1 Calls > Advance > Sound. Also, we ask that you submit feedback within the Meet app: Meet> Menu (Top left)> Send feedback. Thanks.

My calls crash every 30 seconds. I have to keep calling back and telling the other party to talk fast before the next crash. It's happened multiple days now. It takes me 6 call backs to complete a 5 minute video call. All permissions are granted, no battery optimization is on, and Wi-Fi and/or mobile data signal is great. What's the issue?

Hi there. Try restarting your phone and make sure you have updated the Meet app to the most recent version. If that doesn't work, try clearing the app’s cache and storage or uninstall and reinstall the app. Hope this helps.
