I've used Google Maps for many years and have found it to be a great tool. However, I am encountering a serious problem with the app now. When I open Maps, it shows me a blank white screen, and I literally can't do anything in it. Sometimes, I am able to just force close and open it again, and the issue is temporarily resolved. Other times, I get the blank screen again and again. But it's been happening for over a month now!!! I've been forced to use Waze instead for the time being. Please fix!!

This app very suddenly declined within the last 2 months. First it would not launch at all, forcing me to reinstall it. Once reinstalled, the option to change the theme was gone. Now, maps will not use the male voice I've picked for my Google assistant anymore and there is no way to change that either. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm switching to Waze.

9/17 update - I'm still experiencing this issue with the app. The majority of the time the app will not open. It still gets stuck on the logo screen. | Google Maps is suddenly not working. It was working great until the most recent update. Now when I try to open the app, it's just a blank white screen and my phone freezes. I can't even uninstall the app. Instead, I uninstalled the update and now it works. This update is buggy. I need Google Maps to work, fix whatever is wrong with the update.
