For the past few days I haven't been able to see backups on Google drive. If I delete the cache and data, they will reappear but then they disappear again after about a day or maybe less or more. sync is ON. it's all my devices not just this one. If I go into Google one, I can see the backups. but just knowing that it's not in Google drive also, which has been for years, drains confidence in case I have to do a factory reset. can somebody give me a heads up what's going on?

App is great... until you use it a lot. As soon as you get storage use up to 80% or so it constantly badgers you to buy more, even when you have tons of space left. Annoying and cloying, bullying you to buy space you don't need. But stops your workflow constantly asking to upgrade on everything connected - email, files, pictures, etc. Every Google app now crawls because of popups to buy space - and you can't dismiss them for more than a single time and they come back.

I pay for a couple TB of storage and I'm sick of the non-stop spam about almost being out of storage when I have over 800GB available. I think the low storage alerts are based off a percentage of total storage instead of a measure of actual low storage. Warn me if I'm down to 2 GB or something, else leave me the F alone. I'm thinking about switching to a different companies paid cloud storage to avoid having to exit out of the low storage spam pop-ups all the time.
