I love Google Maps when it's working... lately, I have to shut down and restart the app at least 10 times or more for it to actually load. I also am having issues with going into I'm minimized view of the app running and coming back to it in full screen when using a different app as well. When Maps comes back up, it often times has ended the route.

Used to love this app and it WAS my go to for navigation, but after this latest update Maps will not work for me anymore. It's gotten worse little by little after each update over the past 18 months or so, with this latest update being the most problematic. It won't load when I open the app, I have to clear the cache or force stop it, or both, which makes it work 50% of the time. When it does work the GPS lags and the navigation notifications are VERY delayed (ie it routes me INTO bad traffic).

For the last several weeks Google Maps does not load at all on my Android (Galaxy 23 Ultra). It's just a white screen with the Google Maps logo and nothing happens. Restarting my phone, erasing my cach, switching from wireless to 5G and vice versa, none of it matters none of it makes a difference. Google Maps has completely failed. I'm switching map providers.
