Ever since the update my app does not work correctly. It closes after calls. The buttons (such as starting directions when pulling them up) don't always work. Once I reach a destination, I have to completely close the app to find a new one (the buttons always don't work after a trip and sometimes dont work randomly). I used to love this app and now it has become a frustration.

The app simply won't open. Stuck on the logo screen. Android 11 with latest Google Maps update. Tried wiping my entire phone and reinstalling apps. No luck. Still can't get Google Maps to open. What did you guys do? What can I do? I must use Google Maps for gig work, because it is directly linked from the gig app. Can no longer work! Desperately need this resolved ASAP. I'd be willing to pay for a Google Maps Pro version, if it actually was supported. Would a new phone fix it? Help!

I really miss the ability to change your route - was not happy when it sent me through downtown Chicago during the evening rush. Update: Lack of alternate routes continuing to be a major pain point. Being routed through city centers is not always actually faster, and even when it is, is not always worth the 10 minutes saved. If I detour on my own, the app nags me constantly. Going to try other navigation apps.
