Ever since they changed to the new style of meet calls, I can't make outgoing calls, but incoming calls work fine. I can clear app data and cache and get the old one back for one call and that still works. Whatever they did to meet, it's not working for me. A video calling app that doesn't make calls is pretty useless. Edit: the supplied help article isn't relevant to my issue, and I've been trying to get help from the help and feedback forum, they've tried to help but not working yet.

This app used to be called Duo. It was clunky but functional. Google turned it into Meet, and it's basically never worked again. Calls don't ring, when they do you can't answer, sometimes messages send, sometimes they don't, sometimes your contact receives them, sometimes they don't, sometimes they do in two or three days. My wife and I used to use this app as our primary communication tool, since I often don't have cell service, at work, but I have WiFi. We've switched, now.

So the captions' options just don't work like at all. I could say hamburger as clearly as possible, and the captions would show something different. The other stuff works good enough, I suppose, and the effects are fairly silly. One more thing, captions has no swear filter, so you should add an option for that. Edit: if you have kids around, they shouldn't be able to read a swear word on captions. like bro. come on.
