Play Integrity API

Call the API at important moments to check that it's really your app, installed by Google Play, running on a genuine Android device.

Automatic protection

Turn on automatic protection to protect your apps and games against unauthorized redistribution and piracy. When users get your protected app from an unknown distribution channel, they’ll be prompted to get your official app from Google Play.

Play App Signing

Manage and protect your app signing key on Google’s secure infrastructure and access upgrade options to increase security.

Best practices

  • Use Play Integrity API to understand your existing install base and estimate the potential impact of any changes to functionality that you want to make.

  • Opt in to new Play Integrity API verdicts to see if Play Protect is turned on or has found known malware and to see if other apps are running that could be used to capture the screen or control the device.

  • Turn on automatic protection either from your first release or from a release which includes significant changes to maximize protection.
